Sweet Mac Software
This is for all my Mac friends out there. I’ve come across a few FREE programs that are really sweet and have enhanced my Mac experience. Here are some of my favorites that I would recommend:
- Warp (makes it so you can switch between Spaces in Leopard by dragging your cursor to the edge of the screen) download it here
- Quicksilver (access any file or program on your computer with a quick command shortcut) download it here
- Breakaway (makes it so your speakers don’t play audio when your headphones accidentally get unplugged. This can help you save-face at Starbucks so that people don’t have to discover your secret love for the Jonas Brothers) download it here
- Camino (this is my favorite web browser. it looks more like mac software than Firefox and runs well) download it here
- Smart Sleep (you can better control the settings of how your laptop sleeps and acts on low battery) download it here
- Time Machine Editor (allows you to control and change the increments of how often TimeMachine backs up your data) download it here

Jonas Brothers, I’m so utterly disappointed bro.

Well, don’t forget about your PC friends…Sniff, sniff
I see how it is now ; ) http://www.maccomplainer.com/news/macbook-users-are-snobs/
Zach, I didn’t say “my secret love.” I’m referring to my readers here and just trying to think about others. And besides, I know about their poster hanging above your bed…
Bro, you don’t have to hide it from me. You know I won’t look down on you too much. Besides, Kristi saw them in concert last summer right after we moved back to California. So sad
Just haven’t been able to get into Camino. Not sure why…always heard good stuff about it, but personally I don’t love the way it looks.
John, that surprises me. I think Firefox looks like a PC program and that Camino is more consistent with Mac imagery. Which browser do you use? Have you tried the other programs on my list?
I’m pretty sure that you can skin Firefox to be more consistent with the Mac themeing.
