UPDATE – The Matthew Party

Well, our experiment paid off and we all had a great time. While not everyone that we invited came, we did have a lot of people there (and a lot of my neighbors!). It was a great time to meet new people and to have a chance to sit down and talk further with people that we’ve never had the chance to talk with.
There were a lot of questions about our small group and about Third Format and we were able to make some great connections. I’m stoked to see what God will do with the seeds that were planted tonight. I would strongly recommend that other small groups try to do their own variation of a Matthew party.
And if you are wondering…I even carved a few pumpkins myself. Go figure.

That is a cool idea.I’ve never heard of that.I’ll have to agree with you NY is the best pumpkin:)
Sweeet NY Yankees pumpkin, but even sweeter all the connections and seeds that were planted last night! : ) Thanks for the challenge to step it up, Jeremy!
I must say that the Yankees pumpkin is by far the ugliest one i’ve seen, not so much the pumpkin itself as the team that is now forever carved in it. God had great plans for you little pumpkin, but unfortunately you ended up in he wrong hands
will be cool to see what those “pumpkin seeds” you planted return in deed. I’m a little peeved there’s no info on what cheesy horror classic you found and showed as well. Come man, tell us all for we are piddling in anticipation!
Aren’t you glad I mentioned the NY idea?
“Piddling in anticipation”, Mitch? Now there’s a line I’m lovin’!! Hahaha Hope you don’t mind my borrowing it on occasion…of course I shall duly give you proper credit for it.
And thank you, Amanda for the great NY idea! : )
Vehon – (Brian?) I literally laughed out loud when I read your thoughtful little concern for my pumpkin.
Amanda – i am eternally grateful for your suggestion…
Mitch – actually, we ended up having a little miscommunication on who was getting the movie. we ended up showing the cartoon, Monster House, which is actually pretty good. Ironically, it really scared one of the kids that came!
