Gavin in the future?

Posted 25 Nov 2008 in Baseball,Family,Humor

I was sent an “artist’s rendering” of Gavin in future years if he lives up to his middle name. As you may or may not know, Mattingly comes from my favorite Yankee’s player when I was a kid…Don Mattingly. I’ve included a picture of Don Mattingly followed by the “artist’s rendering” of Gavin in years to come. Seems he’ll turn out to be one good-looking guy!

I suppose he will hit for average, rather than power?

But will you do if Gavin decides to follow a musical path like Gavin Rossdale, Gavin Thorpe, or Gavin DeGraw?? : 0

i just hope Gavin learns to wash his hat more often unlike his namesake

Ha! That’s fantastic. I will have to tell my friend, Jason about Gavin’s middle name. Since I’m a new Yankees fan, I didn’t know that, but Jason is a big fan so he’ll find that awesome.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.

Just stumbled across this and that’s funny. I played high school ball against Donnie in Evansville and can appreciate where you are coming from! And to answer the one commenter on here, he definitely had pop in his bat, too. Was an automatic Hall pick if only his career had not been cut short. Happy New Year.
