Here is a picture I took while having a breakfast meeting at Wildflower in Mesa. The first time I went there I asked for a small drink and was given the cup on the right. The next week I ordered a medium drink and received the cup on the right. I was confused. Today I ordered a large drink and received the cup on the left. Does that make sense to anyone else?
Yet how much of what we believe makes sense to us and is beyond illogical to someone else? I’m not referring to those moments of faith when God asks us to do something that defies logic. I’m referring to those times where we believe something and defend it without knowing why we truly believe it and without having spent any adequate time in researching if it was worth believing in the first place.
The drink system at Wildflower makes sense to them (except for the employee that I asked about this who agreed with me) but makes no sense to the typical customer. What beliefs do you hold that you’d never think twice about but may not be as supported logically or Biblically as you think they are?
