Open Wide
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” Psalm 81:10I read this in my personal study time a few weeks back and the last sentence has stuck with me. How much do you expect from God? When God felt the need to remind the Israelites (the people who witnessed firsthand some of his most spectacular displays of power) he topped it off by telling them that He had even more in store for them. Sadly, I think we are content with a little version of God that we can explain and contain. We prefer to drink God out of a straw when He has a different image in mind. Don’t follow a straw sized God… open wide.
